IPOCheckr publishes information that people use when they put real money into IPOs. This page explains who produces that content, where it comes from, how it is checked, and what happens when something is wrong.
Who we are
Content on IPOCheckr is produced by the IPOCheckr Editorial Team, the people who build and run the site from India. We are not a brokerage, investment adviser or research analyst, and we hold no SEBI registration. You can reach the team at info@updates.ipocheckr.in.
What we publish
- Guides that explain how the IPO process works in India - applying through UPI, investor categories, allotment, refunds, listing day and tax.
- IPO pages for current issues: dates, price band, lot size, subscription, financials, and our own calculations from those numbers.
- Tools: the allotment checker, the GMP tracker and the IPO return calculator.
We do not publish buy, sell or apply recommendations for any IPO.
Sources we rely on
We use the most authoritative source available for each kind of fact:
- Rules and processes: SEBI regulations and circulars, NSE and BSE investor pages, NPCI for UPI, and the Income Tax Department for tax.
- Issue details: the company’s DRHP, RHP and exchange filings. Issue data on IPO pages is collected automatically from exchange filings and third-party market data providers, and the offer document remains the final word.
- Allotment results: fetched live from the registrar handling the issue. We never edit a registrar’s result.
- Grey market premium (GMP): collected from market sources and always labelled as unofficial. GMP is not published by any exchange or regulator and is not a reliable predictor of the listing price.
How content is written and checked
- Every guide is checked against the official sources it lists before it is published, and shows the date it was last reviewed. Drafting tools, including AI writing tools, may be used, but a person checks every guide before it goes live.
- Rules that change (application limits, timelines, tax rates) are written with “currently” or a date, and guides are re-checked when SEBI, the exchanges or the tax law change.
- The short explanations and calculations on IPO pages (growth rates, fresh issue vs offer-for-sale split, minimum investment, allotment odds) are generated from the issue data by formulas we wrote and test. Where an input is missing, the sentence is left out rather than guessed.
- Where we publish a hand-written review of an IPO, it is marked with the date and the IPOCheckr Editorial Team as author.
Independence and advertising
IPOCheckr is free to use and is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say over what we write. We do not accept payment from companies, merchant bankers or brokers for coverage, and ads are always shown separately from our content and labelled as ads.
Corrections
If you find an error, email info@updates.ipocheckr.in or use the contact form with the page and the detail you think is wrong. We check it against the source and fix confirmed errors as soon as we can. When a guide changes in substance, its review date is updated.
Not investment advice
Everything on IPOCheckr is general information for education. It is not investment advice and does not consider your circumstances. Read the offer document and consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser before you invest. See the Disclaimer for full details.
